The average temperature ranges between 75 and
85°F. From June to October, the temperature can reach into the
90's, especially in the late summer months. A constant trade
wind keeps the climate at a very comfortable level.
Explore and find... yourself.
A perfect climate, pristine beaches and soothing
turquoise and emerald surf combine for the ideal vacation experience
in Turks and Caicos. Made up of 40 different islands, only eight
are still inhabited. Providenciales ("Provo") is the
center of tourism with a vast choice of hotels, resorts and
restaurants, to appeal to the most discerning traveler. Most
of the out islands can be easily reached by boat from Provo.
Still largely undiscovered, the Turks and Caicos Islands are
ideal for a romantic escape, a relaxing family vacation, or
adventure diving and whale watching. Some of the Caribbean's
best diving can be found here due to the abundance of colorful
sea life and impressive coral walls. Dive, snorkel, stroll,
beachcomb, dine, dance, do everything, or do nothing.
The 200-mile barrier reef system surrounding the Caicos Islands
is 65 miles wide. Here, divers can explore the vibrant marine
life with brilliant 200 feet visibility.
From late December through April, about 2500 humpback whales
pass through the shores of the Turks and Caicos Islands on their
annual migration to the Mouchoir Bank, less than 30 miles away.
Divers enjoy an amazing underwater concert of the whales' songs!
Throughout the year, the deep offshore waters serve as a major
transit point for spotted Eagle Rays, Manta Rays and Turtles.
Tuna, Wahoo and Blue Marlin use these same rich waters.
